Get the year off to a good start with a bunch of the best (and maybe new to you!) motivational YouTubers! We asked you for your favourites, and here’s who you picked:
CLICKFORTAZ
Taz Alam (aka ClickForTaz) first created her YouTube channel as a space to share her spoken word poetry. After quickly gaining popularity, Taz now has over 1.4 million subscribers and her content ranges from lifestyle and travel vlogs to comedy, challenges and poetry - plus the occasional NCS vlog.
JACKSEPTICEYE
Seán William McLoughlin, aka, jacksepticeye is an Irish YouTuber, video game commentator, vlogger, voice actor and founder of clothing company CLOAK. With over 26 million subscribers, jacksepticeye is the 113th most subscribed channel on YouTube, and also the most subscribed channel in Ireland! He has also become well known for his charity streams raising millions of dollars for charities such as The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Save The Children, Red Nose Day, and, in April 2020, raised over $650,000 in 12 hours for COVID-19 relief funds.
DODIE
Dodie Clark is a singer-songwriter, author and YouTuber with 1.94 million subscribers. Dodie writes and releases her own music and also creates music videos for the songs. Her autobiography Secrets for the Mad: Obsessions, Confessions and Life Lessons was released in 2017, and she’s also released three EPs so far, with her first full album scheduled for release this March. Dodie has also collaborated with other YouTubers and singers such as Jacob Collier, Faultline and Emma Blackery.
BRENT RIVERA
Brent Rivera first gained popularity on the gone, but not forgotten Vine, and now has 15 million subscribers on YouTube. His uploads mainly involve silly pranks and challenge videos, with other YouTubers, friends and members of his family - his sister Lexi is also a YouTuber and TikTok star. Brent is also a popular actor, starring in Alexander IRL, and, in 2016, he teamed up with Hollister on their anti-bullying campaign - something close to his heart as he has experienced bullying on his online platforms.
PATRICIA BRIGHT
Patricia is a fashion and beauty YouTuber and content creator, with 2.91 million subscribers. Her videos are mainly fashion based, from Met Gala fashion reviews to trying on brand new clothing lines and collections. She has also collaborated on and authored the self-help book Heart & Hustle, where she outlines ways to use your passion to establish businesses within the digital space. Patricia is also founder of The Break Platform, an online platform and YouTube channel aimed to help women learn more about their financial literacy, translating information into something more attainable and enjoyable so people feel like they can take control of their finances without feeling overwhelmed.
