Togetherness Series: Making Lifelong Friends
Every summer, we love hearing the stories of new friendships formed on NCS. We also hear that it can feel daunting not knowing anyone when you first sign up, so we wanted to share some of these incredible stories with you.
Our Togetherness Series should give you an idea of all the amazing, positive things that can happen when people from all walks of life come together. From the challenges you face, to the lessons you learn about yourself, your new friends will be with you every step of the way on NCS, and beyond!

ROMILLY AND TAMMY
Romilly and Tammy’s story is a bit different. They did know each other before NCS and had been close friends – but they fell out. Going on NCS helped them realise their friendship was worth holding on to…
KOMAL AND SHANNON
Living in Blackburn, Komal and Shannon believe they wouldn’t have met if it wasn’t for NCS. Pleased to have broken down the barriers of their segregated community, these two have become firm friends. Despite Komal having gone off to uni, they still speak every day.

Being home schooled, Josh admits he wasn’t very confident and didn’t socialise much before NCS. But as soon as he met his room mates Ben, George and Tom things changed for the better. Check out their story and discover how their friendship has grown since their days on NCS.
