Self-Care Apps To Get Your Through 2020
And just like that, we’re into a new decade! So, let’s make it a great one – starting with a good self-care routine. Here’s our round-up of handy apps that should help you lead a healthier and happier 2020.
Headspace
It’s easy to get overwhelmed in the world of social media, and the demands of society can be stressful. Headspace is a great app to help you take time out by yourself and relax – it’s filled with a variety of themed, guided meditation sessions. Ahh.
Daylio
This is a daily mood tracker that helps you keep on top of your emotions – it’s a simple way to assess your moods week by week and gives you a chance to see what trends appear.
My Affirmations
Positive affirmations, straight to your phone can make all the difference if you’re feeling low. What’s more you can make your own and set notifications for specific times in the day.
Sleep Cycle
Your wellbeing depends on a good sleep cycle, fact. This app can help with that. From tracking your sleep so you know how you’ve slept to having sleep-aid music to help send you off to Snooze Land in the first place, this app could unlock insights into your unique sleeping patterns.
Co-Star
Interested in the stars? Co-Star offers daily horoscopes based on your natal chart. Similarly to My Affirmations, you’ll receive positive messages each day but it also offers guidance in areas such as spirituality, social life, self, thinking, creativity, work and relationships.
GEIST (previously Memorando)
Exercise your brain and keep flexing all those different pathways with Geist. We all like playing games on our phone, but these could really benefit you. Designed to improve memory, concentration, reaction speeds and logic, Geist could do you plenty of good.
Colorfy
Practise a little mindfulness with some therapeutic colouring. Of course, you could do the physical activity, but Colorfy offers the satisfaction and distraction of colouring in the lines without the mess, and on the go. And if you do go wrong, there’s always undo!
Moment
Once you get past the irony of an app that’s been designed to get you off your phone, Moment is actually a great find. It’s free and offers plenty of tips on how to manage your phone usage and be more present in your day-to-day life.
Of course, there’s always retail therapy too… If you find your finger drifting towards your shopping apps when you’re stressed, then don’t forget about TOTUM.
If you’re signing up for NCS this summer, a splurge doesn’t have to cost a lot! A free TOTUM card will be winging its way over to you… which means great discounts on some of your favourite shops. For their latest offers, head here. Nice.
